I engulf myself within every surface of a problem space, and attempt to build an understanding that's deep and nuanced so intuition can drive rapid decision making.

I take end-to-end ownership and jump into any surface whether it be software, ops or otherwise to experiment, build learnings and orient towards the right product and business decisions.

I use my own skills, whether it be UX, design, research, product management, prompt engineering, no code development, automations and sometimes a bit of mediocre coding to execute on all of the above. When my skills aren't enough I lean on teammates with other expertises, and always try to learn from them in the process. I am a people person and build strong relationships with everyone I work with, regardless of org chart.

I try to be tool agnostic, because being obsessed with a hammer only allows you to notice nails. I try to learn new tools quickly and try to never specialize too heavily into one tool or approach, and partner well with specialists that can use more context to execute their work more effectively.

I always choose to be transparent, set high standards for myself, and do the same for everyone around me. As a people manager I approach my work like a coach, trying to align personal goals with business goals, and always encouraging long term resilience in the job market.

Most recently working on an innovative crowdfunding marketplace, NuMarket, that shifted how small brick and mortar businesses got capital and connected with their best customers and supporters.

For 5 years I led product, as well as designed and built a majority of the product and platform myself, while also managing key parts of ops (so I can go on to automate/productize them). And yes this included diving into vibe-coding, agentic infrastructure, etc.

Challenging work is the only work that's worthwhile imo. I prefer to work on problems I care about. I'm particularly interested in business model and financial innovations that lead to unique solutions to real world problems. I also have a strong interest in working on health & fitness problems (because of my own personal relationship with fitness).

(while making a ton of mistakes along the way) and then subsequently set off on learning everything I can about healthspan, nutrition and strength, and have since put on about ~20-30lbs of muscle. I did this by training with a calisthenics coach, nerding out about progressive overload, anatomy and periodization, switching to a high-protein diet, and being the most consistent person I know.

I'm learning how to tell that story, while learning the intricacies of content algorithms on my content project mere accessories. I'm also testing the limits of a fully agentic run organization on my side project Gatherer.fit, a macro tracking tool built for athletes, whose moat is crowdsourced restaurant data with macro nutrients (with mixed results so far).
